Growing up in the second largest city of Louisiana after relocating from her birth home (California), Jewel learned early on what flavor is all about. As with many chefs, Jewel's craft began with preparing meals for her family and then for local events (baby showers, funerals, birthdays, office meetings, etc.). It wasn't long before she realized she could take this "show" on the road.
With a desire to please more palates with her herbs and spices, she decided to open a mobile restaurant, known to you as Louisiana Xpress Food Truck.
